I’ve had a computer in front of me since I was five years old. Not as a hobby I picked up — it’s just always been there, the one constant while everything else changed.

Everything else changed a lot. I did a 4-year trade as a boilermaker — welding and fabricating things that had to hold up under real load, no room for “should be fine.” Then I moved into security work, which is what still pays the bills while I build this. Neither of those is a normal path into web design. I think that’s the point.

OG Digital Designs exists because I never stopped building things on the side — my own PCs, then my own code, taught myself through years of stubbornly figuring things out until it actually worked. Eventually that stopped being a hobby and started being a business.

The trade background didn’t disappear when I picked up a keyboard instead of a welder. It just changed what “good enough” means to me. A weld either holds or it doesn’t — there’s no faking it. I build websites the same way: coded from scratch, no templates, no drag-and-drop shortcuts, nothing that just looks fine until someone actually clicks the button.

OG is my initials — but it’s also the standard. Not a copy of something already out there. The original.

I run this solo, from home, around a day job. That means no account manager, no outsourced team, no middleman between you and the person actually building your site — just straightforward work, priced fairly, done by someone who’s spent 23 years unable to stop taking things apart to see how they work.

I work from Sydney and take on small businesses across Australia.
